My last name is Tennessee (No, I am not from Tennessee, and I am the only 10 you see…haha). I was born on July 4th, 2001 (yep, Independence Day), and raised in lil ol, Natchez, Mississippi.
To be honest, I had no plans of what to major in after graduating high school, but I knew I wanted to pursue something that involves creativity, arts, and technology. I’ve been interested in art ever since I was little, making crappy drawings my mother would put on the fridge. Drawing and video games were the main hobbies I grew up with (especially computers thanks to my dad tinkering and fixing them). Just like doing research, Graphic Design was my number one option to pursue. Oh, joy!
Pursuing Graphic Design at The University of Southern Mississippi was a huge eye-opener for me. It made me realize, understand, and accept who I am as a person and designer. My personality and mindset helped develop my work. Preferring to be very structured, geometric, and straightforward (just like how I talk), yet can be illustrative and organic (just like my trait of being spontaneous).
Even though the four years of time-consuming boot camp, Graphic Design makes me happy because of the topics I am inspired and passionate about and learning something new with software, skills, and environments. When I am not doing graphic design, I do my favorite hobby which is sleeping and playing video games. Besides that, I-
